I am running Outlook 2000 on Win XP. I syncrhonized my iPAC and everything seemed fine. The next time I started my PC I received the following message: “Unable to display the folder. Errors have been detected in the file C:\Dicuments and Settings\PeteC\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst. Quit all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox Repair Tool.â€
I did this but upon attempting to run the IRT a dialog box opens requesting the location of the subject .pst file(s). I don’t know the location of this file and have run searches of my hard drive for *.*pst* and *.*ost* but found nothing ? I also tried reinstalling Outlook and I am receiving incoming email messages but can not recover the old messages
Does anyone know how to locate the missing .pst and/or .ost files so that I can then run the IRT and hopefully restore my old messages ?
