Simplify the hardware setup to 'rule out' possibilities.

Does this board require the SATA drivers to be installed from floppy at the
start of booting XP setup by pressing F6 so XP setup will recognize the hard
drive (seen as one for raid 0)?

Pull anything not absolutely necessary to do the initial install.

Remove one memory module. Just run a single module in Dimm 1 for
installation.
Set the Bios timing settings to AUTO for CPU and memory.

Disable any Legacy USB support.

Unplug the DVD drive (cable and power). Matter of fact, after everything is
setup, I'd set it to master and put it on the Secondary IDE channel. Give
both CD's their own communication path. That's one of the advantages of
Serial or IDE raid.

I'm not familiar with that MB, but if it has built-in video, make sure it's
disabled in the bios and your set to AGP as the first video or default.
Also, disable any onboard audio until after installation.

Btw, what power supply do you have? Running that much hardware, with a
powerful video card, you should have minimum a newer 350w (high quality) or
higher pwr supply.
