XP Pro will not install on new PC

I am not an expert at this and since I am a rockie at building a new PC I am
open to any help here.
I just built a new computer. Motherboard, ASUS P5LD2-deluxe, CPU P4,
Memory 1 gig, (2) western digital SATA hard drives set up in a RAID array
using Intel Matrix ICH7R chip, ALL components are brand new including the
hard drives.

I can not get XP-pro to load, after it is done loading all the drivers
"including the SATA drivers from a Floppy" when it gets to the starting
windows message I get the blue screen of death. The message reads somthing
like:

"windows has stopped to prevent damaging your computer. check for Virus's or
if you have installed a new hard drive or controller remove them and run
F/disk

I have set the BIOS to support RAID and updated the Intel Matrix RAID BIOS
to set the volumes for the drives. There is no Virus setting in the BIOS to
turn off. But XP seems to think I have a Virus? or it is not recognizing the
drives correctly. I have tried reloading so many times I am thinking the MBR
is corrupted?
what is the best way to delete everything in the MBR and reinstall it? I
have not run F/disk yet thinking it will screw up the RAID Array and make
things worst.

HELP!!

In the BIOS,you need to set for RAID in advanced chipset,On chip serial
ATA,set to enhanced mode, make sure the OnChip Serial ATA is set for
RAID not IDE,close out,in advanced BIOS features, hard disk priority, set to
bootable add in device(RAID controller),save and exit. Also,i usually
disconnect
1 hd,boot to xp cd,press F6,recovery,type:DiskPart In DiskPart,delete
all,then
create a partition,then press Esc key,then type:FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs When its
thru type:EXIT Power off, connect other hd,reboot to xp cd,select install
xp.Also
you dont mention the RAID configuration utility that shows in BIOS(seperate
from
BIOS).You might chk
