Can not insert pictures in my word 2003

HI,

I have a problem with my Microsoft Word 2003. Whenever I want to insert
pictures from the internet, from ppt or whatever it is, I only get a code
instead of the picture. The code looks like this: {INCLUDEPICTURE
"https://support.microsoft.com/oas/images/2.gif"\*MERGEFORMATINET}
How do I change back to the way it was used to be before I played with the
alternatives?

Press Alt+F9 to toggle field codes view.

Thanks, saved my skinny ass! It worked, do you know what the problem was? I
dont think I by mistake pressed alt+F9......

Impossible to say what you might have done by accident

There is a checkbox on Tools > Options > View tab for "Field Codes". Might
you have accidentally checked that when changing something else?
