Can not edit template

I hope someone can help me out. I have not been able to
edit my web pages. Any ideas?

Hi there, thankx for responding!
No, no error messages; just when attempting to edit, it
does nothing...double click will highlight, but that is it.

I am creating a site using a free template. I can edit it
from another computer, so I have been trying to update my
browser on this (main) one. I had 5.5 and just downloaded
6, it helped - but not for this problem. There is only
one critical update I didn't install - DirectX, I
believe. Could this be it?

You still did not tell us what program you use to edit.

If Notepad then make sure that you did not create a shortcut to your
desktop. If you did rename it MyNotepad

Also clean your Temporary Internet Files Folders.

I am not using a "program". It is a free web site that
provides templates. All you do is click on "edit". I can
get in, but that is it. I checked with the site itself
and their test showed everything was fine. I tried
another computer and everything was fine, so the
conclusion is my browser. I realized I had IE5.5 and
updated to 6, ran all my critical updates but one...and
here I am.

Our computer tech at the office came in today and I asked
her. She agreed with the critical update theory and that
I should also subscribe to McAfee.
