Can not copy and paste data from on spreadsheet to another.

I'm having problems "copy and then paste" data from on spreadsheet to another
spreadsheet. I can copy but when I close that spreadsheet and open another
one the paste option is gone. As if I have never copyed the data. The
clipboard is empty.
 
You should be prompted there is a lot of information on the clipboard and do
you want to save it so it sounds like somehere you have set

Displayalerts=false

I'd start by checking in the before close workbook event.

you have to keep both excels open..copy and paste into the new spreadsheet
then close the old one.
