Can not change font/color/background in titles

My MM has worked well for a long time. Today when creating a new movie, I
added a title and needed to change the font size and background color. The
menu inside the edit title dialog is completely missing. I've tried rebooting
and it is not there. I've tried new and existing movies but it never shows
up. I can not find a way to download a new copy of it on the Microsoft
website. The download does not have a way for me to access it. Any ideas
would be appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

Hmmmm...have you deleted any fonts from
your system?

May be worth a try to do a system restore
to a time before this issue began.

And if you want to reinstall Movie Maker 2.1
you'll have to download and reinstall WinXp
SP2.

Download Windows XP SP2

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.

It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.

And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.

John, thanks for the reply. I have not deleted any fonts...I tried system
restore from last week, last month and 3 months ago and the restore
failed...It said it was not possible when it rebooted? Everything else on the
computer seems to be OK..I have a copy of MM from another machine that was
working on my thumb and executed it and it doesn't work on mine, so maybe it
is something like missing fonts...Is there any way to determine if they are
missing? Word has it's fonts. I'll get SP2 again as you suggested and try
that.
Thanks
Steve

Okay. Have you installed or uninstalled any
software that may have caused the problem?

Try running System Restore from Safe Mode.

No guarantees...but if System Restore doesn't
yield a positive result...try the reinstall of SP2.
