Can no longer open web.config using Internet Explorer

Hi

Just a minor thing...

Before applying Win XP SP 2 beta I used to use Internet Explorer to view
Web.Config (or App.Config) files because I like the way it highlights the
xml they contain as it is much easier to read the configuration items than
with say notepad (and because it opens the file much quicker than with a new
instance of Visual Studio). Since applying Win XP SP 2 beta I can no longer
use Internet Explorer to view those type of files. Does anyone know an easy
way to make this work again?

Thanks

John

Open Contorl Panel and select Folder Options
On the file types tab scroll down until you see CONFIG
Select it and Click the change button.
Set it to use Internet Explorer to open this filetype

Hi Mark

Thanks for your reply. I had already done what you suggested but it doesn't
work. The .config files just don't open. I can open them using other apps
(e.g. notepad if I right click and select Open With). Like I said, they used
to open fine with Internet Explorer before, its only since applying Win XP
SP 2 beta that it has stopped working.

Any more ideas?

John
