Can no longer download a CSV file on XP Media ?

Nancy

I can't download a CSV file on my new XP Media laptop.

Have a new Dell Inspirion laptop with dual core processor using
Windows XP Media Edition 2005. 1gb Mem and 100 gb HD.

I was previously able to download file (CSV format) to
my old Win98SE PC with no problem. I tried to do it using my new
Win XP Media 2005 PC and it won't do it. It does not come up with
the window which asks me where I want to save it, although if
I tried to download the same file in Quicken or Money, it worked as
it always used to. I also was able to download it successfully with
my son's laptop which has Win XP on it.

When I click on "download" it says, "transferring file:
"https:/www.xxxxonlinebanking.org/account/historydownload.asp"
and then it appears as a txt file on a web page. When I close it I
get the error report:
"missing file: https:/www.xxxxonlinebanking.org/xxxxxxxstyle.css"

(The xxx's are to protect the actual name of the bank.)

I assume it's something with my laptop XP since it's always worked
before, on Win 98 and my son's XP.
Thanks in advance for the help !

Your Internet Explorer might have scripting disabled? The link for the
file to be transfered is activating a script to acquire the actual *.csv
file, but is unable to complete the script properly.

I don't remember posting there but I did post in windowsmedia, but I haven't
gotten an answer so I'm posting wherever I think
I can get help. It is very "important" for me to be able to download
these files, without having to go to another pc and copy and then
bring them to my pc and copy them. I do this monthly for 6 accounts.
I am puzzled as to why XP Media won't let me receive the files. Since it
worked on regular XP and Win98SE I can only draw a conclusion that
it has to be something in Win XP Media. I haven't done any setup to
make changes to the basic program.

Yes, I have posted in several other places in hopes of getting this
problem solved, but to no avail. So I just keep trying.
