Running WindowsXP home edition
After deleting a program this morning ( it was not Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer) I can no longer view fax after "selecting" it > "right-clicking" the
fax > selecting "view" while in fax console. My faxes were being previously
opened by another program other than Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I don't
know how that program became the default viewer (as it was a program that
created greeting cards). I didn't not want this program to be the viewer so
I deleted it..thinking that Windows Picture and Fax Viewer would open
instead.
I was wrong because when I now try to open a fax, I receive an error
message that reads: The fax doc.cannot be displayed because your operating
system does not have a default viewer for fax doc.(.tif. files).
I know that "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" is installed on my computer
because when I open my pictures folder and select a photo "Windows picture
and Fax Viewer" opens them..
How can I once again get Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to be my default
viewer? Thanks.
