Can I view a PP without having PP installed on my computer?

My daughter's teacher sent the families a copy of a powerpoint with pictures
from the last school year. She states, in teh attached letter that "You do
NOT need to have the powerpoint program for it to work. It is about 100
slides and 15 minutes long. Each page will advance itself and play in a
computer automatically."

I am having difficulty viewing the PPT, however, and wonder if I do, in
fact, need to have Powerpoint installed in order to view the slides.

Can you describe the problem that you are having? Are you simply putting the CD
in your CD drive and closing the door? Does the show start automatically?
