Can I use WinZip 8.1 or 8.1sp with XP-ProSP2?

Last month several of you were kind enough to answer my questions regarding
XP and Winzip 10.
Wesley Vogel mentioned he used ver 8.1 (I am assuming he is using XP?)

Well I now found both old versions 8.1 and 8.1sp and would like to confirm:
1) that they both work with XP Pro SP2
2) have uninstallers
3) anyone know which one is better, or the differences between the 2 vers?

I used to use ver 8.0 with my prior system and WinME, but it says it was for
Win 95/98/NT/2000/ME (but of course XP was not out in year 2000).
Thanks again

Realizing that this is not directly related to your question, but have you
tried IZArc? (http://www.izarc.org/)

Though the download from the site may be slow, I have found this to be a
fast, stable, and free archive manager that works on all versions of
Windows (I am currently using it on Win98, XPH, and Win2k) and works on
more than just zip files.

Yes, WinZip 8.1 worked (I don't use it anymore) just fine on WinXP.
