Can I use Broadcast Add-In for a PPS i want to upload to a websit

Hello all,

I am sooooooo frustrated! I am trying to link a PPS to a webpage on my
site.
My presentation is very large 31,668KB with embedded audio and graphics and
very synchronized animation timed w/ the audio. I own the copyright and
trademark.

I don't know if it is even possible to upload it and get a page to link to
it, but it seems like it should be. In my search for solutions, I have
purchaesd or downloaded PPT2Flash, Producer, Broadcast & Articulate. .

PPT2Flash gets stuck on one of the slides when processing for audio (even
though that slide has NO fancy animation or sound files). Producer doesn't
do the transitions, Articulate has a lot of trouble w/ my audio. Producer
actually records the best, however the timings are all off when I play it.

Is there anything else out there that can upload the PPS in a compressed
enough version? I need it to download at a reasonable rate after clicking
the link.

I really need to get this up soon!

thanks MUCHO!

There are a few options:
1. Use a PPT-to-HTML process (not my expertise, maybe someone else can
address this one)

2. Use a PPT-to-Flash process. This can be problematic depending on the
animations used. Not all convervsion applications catch all animations, and
if you have combined animations (eg. fly in + fade), the options get fewer.
Depending on the project I use:
- Articulate Presenter
- Wildform's Presenter Pro (which gives you everything on a fully adjustable
timeline - so all can be recreated)
- I have seen good results with Pointecast.

3. Use a PPT-to-Movie process. This provides accurate playback of animations
and transitions as it is literally captured and turned into a movie. The
downside is you loose a lot of interactivity (it is a movie, so no pauses at
slides, etc.). Depending on the project I use:
- Camtasia Studio
- InstantFX Pro (use publish feature, turn off all 3D options, set to use
PPT master slides, etc.)

I didn't even know there was a ppt2movie process. that sounds more like what
i'm hoping for. I am in no way a programmer, only a user. what is the dif
b/t > - Camtasia Studio and > - InstantFX Pro. Which is easier to use?

InstantFX is not designed as a ppt-to-movie process. The results are great,
but I would not encourage it if unfamiliar.

Camtasia is a great product - almost invaluable in my design work as it does
so much. It has a PowerPoint capture add-in that makes the process extremely
easy and then the wizard guides through rendering as a .wmv, .flv (flash 8),
quicktime, etc. Here is a link to their website - it will be money well
spent: www.techsmith.com

Troy, thank you so much! I am always amazed at the amount of information
available in this community. I checked out the site and Camastasia looks
great.
a few more questions if i may??? As I was reading the knowledge base, I
wasn't clear on something. will the visitors to my site be able to link
directly to the file, or do they need to be registered at screencast.com? OR
can i upload the file to my own website?
thanks!
