I was wondering if I can change my system from XP home sp2 > XP Pro sp1 then
sp2?

I tried to but a message came up saying that the version I was trying to
install was older than my current one and it was unable to upgrade.

thanks

Make a new Windows XP Pro CD with SP2 slipstreamed
and then perform the upgrade installation with the new CD.

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

or

AutoStreamer 1.0.33 (preferred)

You may want to ask your question again. It's not really clear what you're
trying to accomplish.

If your system came with SP2 pre-installed, reverting to SP1 level is not
necessary.
