can I stillplay games

Originally I have 1 hdd1 where I installed my win xp and the games. Because
of virus infections, I have decided to attach a new hdd2 and installed win xp
and used as Master. The old hdd1 as slave. My questions are:-
1/ Can I still play the same games if i do not reinstall the games in hdd2?
2/ If so above, can I still play the same games if I delete the windows in
that hdd1?

Answer to question 1 - No, you will need to reinstall the games from the
original installation media (CD/DVD, installable executable downloaded from
the Internet).

Answer to question 2 - No. See answer to question 1 above.

Actually there is a good chance you will be able to play some games.

I dual boot and do this occasionally. IIRC it worked with Crysis.

Just try running the main exe from game directory and if it doesn't work you
have lost nothing.

Something like Steam, or digital distribution probably won't play.
Some games look for registry entries before starting and some don't.

If you find your save games have gone look in the old "My Documents\My
Games" directory. Newer games use this directory to save games to.

Some games require a specific codec for the menus, or in game movies to
work, (the game installs these during installation.) These may run, but with
graphical issues.

The only way you will know for sure is to try it.
