Can I schedule PC to "wake Up " ??

I know you can schedule your PC to do certain tasks but can you arrange a
PC to do this .?
My PC is in my bedroom and to avoid being disturbed by the noise of the
fans I put it to "sleep" at night .
I check my e-mail first thing in the morning after I wake up my PC but can
I schedule it to wake up or does it have to be awake before scheduled
tasks can happen ??

Do you plan on getting your pc to sleep with you and wake with you? You

In the Task Scheduler, on the Settings screen, there's a place to check
to have the computer wake up to perform the task.

So, if you can create a scheduled task to do what you want, then, yes,
you can have that task wake up the computer to carry out the task. This
works quite well: I have my computer wake up around 0100 to do such
things as a full antivirus scan, degfragmentation, etc., a time at which
I'm not overly likely to be using the computer.

You cannot, as far as I am aware, schedule the computer to carry out the
trash, however....

(As for your request for e-mailed replies, that is not considered proper
on newsgroups, where replies [assuming that they are useful, and, alas,
many are not] benefit many by being posted as newsgroup replies.
