can I scan a form into Word and fill it in on the computer?

Would like to scan a form,e.g. Job application, into Word or some other word
processing program and be able to fill it out on my computer and then print
it out. Is this possible?

It is possible, but not worth doing for a one-off as the work involved is
fiddly and time consuming. In essence you scan the form and set it as a
background image then build a form over it with table cells to accommodate
your entries, then when you are entirely satisfied that it will print in
exactly the right places remove the background image (or disable it) and
print on the original form.

For filling in a form many times, then a form filling application like the
module in Finereader Corporate edition makes the job a little easier.

Most job applications require hand written applications so that the
companies can use hand writing evaluation. Save yourself a lot of grief and
use a pen.
