can i retrieve a docment if i forgot to save it from previous day

I done a party invite for my daughter the other day and never saved it can i
retrieve it back again without starting from scratch.
I done it on microsoft word I think?

No. If you never saved it, there's nothing to retrieve (no matter what
program you used).
