Can I recover my deleted contacts?

I inadvertantly deleted most of my contacts. I have read the help files, and
supposedly they can be retrieved from the deleted items folder. This folder
only brings up my deleted emails. Can I recover my contacts? And how?

Describe how you deleted them. The Deleted Items folder is a special folder
that can hold any type of Outlook item, be it mail, contact, calendar event,
note, or task.
