Hi,
Recently I had a game installed for Win XP. I've
uninstalled it now, and I was removing a folder that it
left behind, it was not needed. But one time when I was
playing the game, the computer crashed, and I believe a
folder was corrupted, now I cannot delete it or anything.
Here is what it said:
Can't read directory "C:\Program Files\nottherealname.".
(1392) The File or directory is corrupted and unreadadble.
And
Cannot delete nottherealname: The directory is not empty.
Well, I used Win Explorer and a very good 3rd
party "explorer utility" and made sure to show hidden
files, but nothing was in there. I am certain it got
corrupted somehow, but I don't have any further details.
Is it possible, to "heal" the folder somehow? Maybe
through a CHKDSK switch?
