Can I make a non-printing header in Word?

I have a document template that I am using but it will be printed on
pre-printed letterhead and the header/footer is only used as a guide
and if I want to PDF.

Thanks - this is driving me nuts!
 
Highlight everything in the header and change its font color to white.
