can i make a network with just an ordanary ethernet cable
and two xp pro's with network cards
any help would make a difference

how do i know what a crossover cable is, were do you get
them, how would i know if mines a crossover cable?

Crossover cable is the same RJ45 cable with the internal wires aligned for a
peer-peer communication(without a hub).
