Can I import Outllook 2003 .pst files into Outlook 2000?

Having trouble synching my laptop to my desktop here. Any hints? I gather
from the website that "An Outlook Personal Folders file (.pst) can now be
saved as a new binary format, which uses Unicode and increases the storage
limit to approximately 20 gigabytes (GB). An Outlook 2003 .pst file is not
compatible with previous versions of Outlook, but the old format is the
default." surely there's a way around this?

You'll need to use a old Outlook 97/2002 format pst with Outlook 2003 if you
need to share the pst with older versions of Outlook. File, New, Outlook
data file - choose the one with 97/2002 in the description.
