Can I import Lotus Approach into Access 2003?

I'm currently using Lotus Smart Suite softwear because that's what IBM has
been offering with purchases of their PC's. I have three databases that I've
developed using the Lotus Approach database and when I purchased my last
laptop in July (non-IBM) I purchased the softwear upgrade.

With IBM putting it's PC business up for sale, I'm afraid Lotus
Smart Suite may die. I've learned how to use Microsoft Access and would
like to be able to purchase the software with the knowledge that it's capable
of improrting and configuring to Access.

Has anybody been successful in doing such a transition and will it cause me
any major headaches. One of the databases has 15 yers of history on it and I
want to make sure that I won't lose any of it.

Thanks for any help

You should be able to export the data from your Approach database into a
format Access can recognize (.csv, .dbf, etc.), which will allow you to get
the data into Access. There's no way, though, to get any functionality from
Approach into Access: you'll have to recode any forms, reports, etc.
