How do I import an Approach dbf database into Access?

I have a large video database file created with Lotus Approach, dbf format. I
created a new table in Access using a template. When I try to import the
Approach database using "get external data, import" I get an error message
saying "Microsoft Jet Database Engine could not find movie list.dbf"
Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? I'm used to "Point & Click"
operations, so be gentle with your instructions.

Access can't import those files directly.

You have to use Approach, and export to a format that ms-access can use
(csv, dabaseIII etc.).

Hi,

As an alternative to Albert's suggestion, try moving the file to a
folder with a short name (e.g. C:\Temp), and renaming it to something
shorter that doesnt contain a space, e.g. MOVILIST.DBF.
