Using simple file sharing, I can access workgroup shared folder from another
computer, but then can't access the subfolders inside the shared folder. Get
an access denied. Any Ideas?

Hi, Hank -

If the folder is shared using simple file sharing any new
subfolders created or moved into the shared folder should
also be shared - but I figure you already know that ;-)

Here's a resource on file sharing and Windows XP -

How to configure file sharing in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;304040&Product=winxp

When you create a new subfolder or *copy* a folder into a
shared folder the folder will inherit the parent folder's
permissions. If you *move* a folder into a shared folder
the folder that's moved retains its original access
control list.

Hope this helps a little -

Hank,

just to rule out a different problem, are the shares visible,
and you get the error when you click on them? Or are they not
visible at all? If they are not visible, I may be able to give
some advice.
