I am running a Win2000 Server. I found that the harddisk space is going run
out. I found that there are a lot of tmp files in the TEMP folder under
Win2000 system folder. Can I just delete all ot them? Does this action
harm the system?

You shouldn't have a TEMP folder under C:\WINNT\system nor under C:\WINNT\system32 which should be your system folder. But be that as it may yes you can delete any .tmp files if you can. Actually excess .tmp files can lead to more harm than good.

YES U CAN DELETE ALL TMP FILES WITHOUT HARMING YOUR SYSTEM BUT BE CAUTIOUS ,DON'T DELETE THE TEMP FOLDER ITSELF.

Generally, Windows won't let you delete any temporary file that is actually
in use. So blast away.

CAUTIOUS ,DON'T DELETE THE TEMP FOLDER ITSELF.
