Can I add "notes" to a spreadsheet that can be collapsed?

I do not just want the comments section but I need to know if it is possible
to put in notes that can be hidden.

Normally when you insert a comment, the only thing you see is a little
triangle in the upper right hand corner of the cell that the comment is in.
If you are seeing the whole comment, right mouse click in the cell that the
comment is in and click on Hide Comment. This will close the comment and if
you want to see it, you just put your pointer on that little red triangle and
it will show up.

Do notes mean just a bunch of cells with notes in them?

If yes, try formatting those cells with a custom format: ;;;
(They'll look empty when you're viewing the worksheet, but if you select a cell,
you can still see the contents in the formula bar.)
