Can I activate Windows 2003 Small Business Server more than once?

We purchased Windows 2003 Small Business Server (OEM), and installed it on a
computer that we build for a customer. At the last minute the customer
decided they need a different operating system, however, we had already
activated the software (yes, we learned a lesson!). I was told by an
associate of mine that it will never never never work on another motherboard
again and I am S-O-L if I want to use this software on another server. Is
this true? Keep in mind it is OEM. Thanks!!
 
Are you a reseller? You probably want to talk(phone) Microsoft to check
in this instance as the "user" didn't get the operating system.
