Can get into Safe Mode???

I can not get into safe mode to run some maintance on my
system. I keep getting to the following line and it
either stops responding or reboots itself.

multi(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32
\drivers\Mup.sys.

Anyone have any idea or clue to wha I can do to get safe
mode back?

At that point all the files have been loaded, and the boot is failing
sometime in initialisation. I have not heard of this before in Safe
mode - it can happen in normal mode if a driver fails to initialise,
when the answer is to boot Safe Mode (bypassing complex drivers) and
reinstall the driver from there.

It would seem you have one of the reserve level drivers corrupted. I
thing first action is to refresh the system files - put the CD in the
drive, exit the Autorun, then go to Start - Run and run
SFC /SCANNOW
