Can Crawlers "See" Nav Component Links?

Do Search Engine Crawlers "understand" how to follow the
FrontPage's Navigation Component's links -- or will using
it make the rest of my site become "invisible" to them?

Same question for the Table of Contents Component.

If so, what is the best way to get around the problem?

Each crawler is different, so no answer can be 100%
definitive. However, the Navigation Bar and Table Of
Contents components create perfectly ordinary hyperlink
HTML, and I'd be surprised if any search engines bypass
them.

Search engines will not have any problems reading or following links within
you pages that are included in your page via Shared Borders or Include pages
since they are design-time components and are merge into your page when you
save the pages.

I have read the "threads" to this question and am wondering if I understand the answers correctly. I did not actually use the navigation structure when I set up my web site - but did used shared borders and then linked in whatever order I decide weekly - monthly etc. I do not see the hyperlink information on any of my pages as I used to when I used FrontPage without the extensions and shared borders. I went to shared borders in order to maintain a uniform "linking bar" structure. Again, I can not see any of the hyperlinks to "linking text" in the HTML section (back page) of my index page or any other page for that matter. If I understand the answer tot he first question the search engines can still see the links and crawl my site from the index page etc??? Thank you for your help and mercy Chris

Open you online site in a browser and in any Page View Source
- that's what the spider see
- the nav bars are just hard coded html
