Can chkdsk changes be reversed?

For some reason that I do not understand after running Norton Goback, my
computer was restarted by Goback. However, when it booted back up, ckddsk
began and it made alot of changes that I did not understand. Now, certain
programs don't startup. Programs cannot be uninstalled because certain
required files are missing. Is there anyway that I can reverse the changes
that chkdsk made. XP system recovery cannot restore and Goback cannot either.
I would need to restore my computer about 3 days back when chkdsk made the
changes, but I didn't realize the problems existed until now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

And tech support at Norton has told you to do what? They seemed to have
caused the problem.

Were the problems caused by chkdsk or Norton Goback? Why did you run
Goback in the first place? What do you need Goback for?

Hope this helps.
