Can both Windows XP in English and in Chinese be installed in a computer?

I bought a Desktop computer with Windows XP in English version inside. My wife wants to use Words and write e-mail in Chinese to her friends in Taiwan. In order to satisfy my wife, whether I can install a new Windows XP in Chinese version in my computer without any conflicts?
1. Can I install both versions of Windows in drive C
2. Or I have to install Chinese version of Windows XP in drive D (virtual drive D by partition)
3. Or I have to buy a new external harddrive to avoid any conflict
4. Where can I get a software to make selection for Windows XP in English or Windows XP in Chinese, when I switch on my computer and insert a diskeet.

Option 1 is bad and also unsupported, but it sometimes may work.
#2 is the best option and works very well.
You do not need any special software as Windows XP will set it up on
its own as you install to the second partition.
Simply reboot from the new Windows and follow the prompts to install
on D partition.
Data on drive D will be destroyed.

Data on C should be safe, back-up important data just in case.
