lol OK I know I'm being a cheapskate but as I havent even finished paying for
the pc yet I cant afford to be buying top software yet! lol So, what I now
want to know is; can any of you experts out there reccommend a good FREE
program for viewing/editing pics, photos, animations, videos etc... I think
would be best if theyre not too complicated as I'm only a beginner and I'm
not very smart to start with! lol.....

...... oh and BTW, if anyone can also tell me how I should go about using one
of my pictures in a 'myspace' comments thingy I would be very grateful! I
dont quite understand how I can get a picture from my files into a format
that will allow me to use in myspace! especially the moving and/or glittering
pics! as I understand it, I need the URL of the image or something like that.
That would be great if I knew what the hell that meant! lol let alone how I
go about getting the url of an image...... oh god! I'm not sure that I'm even
reading the instructions in English at the mo! lol It definately seems like
its in another language to me! lol so, anyone who can answer both my queries
wins a Big Smile from me!! there thats a prize to bring the answers rolling
in!..... erm.... isnt it???? Well just answer it out of the goodness of your
hearts then! lol!)

For viewing / editing Videos...try Movie Maker...
you already have it installed. If you cannot find it...
go to...Start / Run and type...moviemk.exe...
press enter.

Microsoft Digital Image Starter Edition 2006
is a downloadable 60 day trial version with
much of the functionality of MS Digital Image
Suite 2006.

Once your 60 day trial period has ended, the
program will de-feature to minimal functionality.

Unlike the retail version...the trial does not
have the ability to create VCDs and does
not support RAW files.

I have no info about MySpace...maybe they
have a forum or a support site that can provide
instructions.

If you want to make a slideshow to be played on your PC then of course you
can use PhotoStory (free of charge - Microsoft). Some good tutorials at thi
site:
http://www.windowsphotostory.com/
If you want this slideshow to be burned on a DVD in order to play it on TV
then you also need Nero Vision Express (not free, but a part of NERO since
version 6)
