I have a guest account on my computer that I am turning into a administrator
for my husband. I have a question, Whenever he goes to sign into the
messenger it has a pull-down menu that has all the old log-in names of
everyone thats ever used our computer. Is there anyway to delete this list or
turn off the feature that remembers every single name? I have uninstalled &
reinstalled the messenger, but thats not helping, the names are still there.
When I made my daughter her account on the computer, there was a display that
asked if I wanted the computer to remember all the users, I clicked no. So is
there a way to fix it so that all those other names get deleted and it will
stop saving all them user names? Any help would be greatly apprecitated!!!
Sincerely, Nicole

"When I made my daughter" hmmmmmmmmm?

I believe that the user names are stored on the MS Messenger server. Take a
look at their help or FAQ.

sorry I forgot the "s" , I meant to say "When I made my daughters account",
but thank you, I will be sure to read their FAQ & help page. I thought there
may be some option on my computer to turn off this setting or at least let me
delete those user names?? But thank you Dave, I'll be sure to try that.

Sincerely, Nicole

Thank you Wesley. This is how I got them deleted:
On Windows, click the Start button, click Control Panel, and then click User
Accounts. Pick a User Account. Then click on Manage My Network Passwords.
This will bring up the stored user accounts under that user.
In Stored User Names and Passwords, pick the ones you want to remove and
then click Remove (I was able to remove all the unwanted user names off my
computer).
This does not delete your Passport; it only removes your Passport name and
password from this computer.
