Can an Access 2003 file be accessed or applied via Access 2000?

Currently, I am using Access 2000 and some one sent me a file prepared by
Access 2003. I did have the experience that an Access 2000 file cannot be
used in Access 97 environment.

Thanks for assistance.

Access 2003 still uses the 2000 file format by default. If the person who
created the file with Access 2003 didn't specifically create the file in the
2002/2003 format then you should be able to open it. If they used the newer
file format then you won't.
