june bug

A situation came up at work today. I tried to use my
floppy disk and got a window that my access was denied to
use the drive A and that I should contact my computer
adminstrator. Is this at all possible? One computer
adminstrator may be trying to cut out another. My access
is also computer adminstrator. Please advise.

Generally, in a workgroup environment, (all group computers linked by a
main server) there is only one Administrator. The Administrator can deny
access to a variety of functions to other users.

Yes, its possible to restrict access to specific disk drives, via Group Policies. And while you may be a local Administrator, a Domain Administrator can control what you do and do not have access to.
