Camera Not Recognised by Computer

Hi!
Everything was fine and now the computer doesn't recognise the digital
camera. The device manager hardware tab shows a yellow exclamation mark on it
so I uninstalled it and then put it back on. XP says found new hardware and
then says a problem occured during hardware installation and the device may
not work properly.
I go to Add/ Remove hardware and invoke it and it shows up my digital camera
with a yellow exclamation mark and it says "Windows cannot load the device
driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is
still in memory. (Code 38)".

What can I do to sort out this mess?
Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi ... When ever you want to uninstall programs ? Always go to the add and

remove programs area and click uninstall , Then afterwards go to the

explorer ( right click the start buttom and select explorer ) expand the "

Program Files " under the C Drive ( If this is where windows is install )

Now look for the folder of the program that you just uninstall , highlight
and delete it , You can also do a file

and folder search for that program and delete all the perfetch files ,Or if
you want to be sure you got the right file you can just go to the prefetch
folder itself and delete everything within the folder but , not the folder
just the content within the folder C:/Windows/Prefetch , afterwards

then delete the recycling bin , Reboot the computer and now try to reinstall
the software again , See if this helps
