Camera Does Not Show as Drive

My Kodak DC-280 camera does not show as a drive in Explorer or My Computer.
I have drives C, D, E and F installed and when I hook up a card reader it
will show as G. The camera does show in Device Manager when connected and
disappears when unplugged from the USB port. The computer beeps when the
camera is connected and beeps again when disconnected. How can I make the
camera show as a drive?

Some cameras might only be able to just pull off the pics
from the software that comes with the camera. That is
how mine is

Did it ever show up as a drive?
