Hello,

I discovered Camel's Mpegjoin as a quite comfortable mpg-joiner. But
now the program suddenly refuses to join my mpg's.

I can add files to the joining list, but in the window "Joining files
...." the progress bar stays at 0 and nothing happens.

I tried to solve the problem with a new install, but the problem
stays.

Any hints what I can do?

Not sure about Camel, but you could try MPGJoin. Get it at

I could never get camel to work again after upgrading to xp. You could
try mpegjoin as safesurfer suggests, or combimovie at www.bobyte.com.
I've used them both.

Good luck,

Camel is extremely ancient software and crap. Use TMPGEnc instead.

TMPGenc as already noted will do an excellent job. A decent enough
freeware joiner is CombiMovie. I've had glitches here & there joining,
bit it's OK if you need a quick joiner.
http://www.bobyte.com/

"CombiMovie should be used to combine only files with the same
characteristics (same dimension, compression method, color depth etc).
CombiMovie will not check whether these are true before joining, but
off course you may try to join two different characteristics of movie,
and see what happens. In many cases it will still be running. "
