Camcorder not being recognised after loading sp2

When a Camcorder is connected, the Hardware displays
Unknown device. before sp2 is loaded it used to recognise
the camcorder directly. Any Help???
 
How are you connecting it to the PC?

Is it an analog camcorder or a digital one?
