Caller ID Not Working in Fax Service on Win2003 Server

I

Igor

Fax service on my Win2003 server works well for sending
and receiving faxes, but it does not display the caller ID
signal/info. The modem (Multitech, ZBA, external, serial)
picks up at the third ring and does relay caller ID back
to the OS. I can verify this in HyperTerminal where I get
the full caller ID info between first and second rings.
Also, a third-party fax software I installed as a test was
able to get caller ID information.

I've changed the default settings on the modem (AT+VCID=2)
and have tried several different configurations, but
nothing worked. Is there a problem with Caller ID oin Fax
Service?

Thanks,
Igor.

Caller ID is shown in the fax console today for the received faxes.
Please check the following -
1. Your modem supports Caller Id. (This you have already checked I assume)
2. The telephone carrier supports relaying the caller ID back to the
receiver.
3. The modem at the sending end has not blocked out caller ID.
If all these are in place, and it still does'nt work, please ping us back,
so we can investigate the problem further.
