Calendar will not open in full size window

I'm using Outlook 2003.

One day about a month ago I opened my calendar in a new window. (My
original mail window was still open, I just wanted to check some dates for a
possible meeting).

Now, however, whenever I click Open Calendar in New Window, it doesn't
automatically maximize the way it used to. I can't figure out how to fix
this.

Is there a way?

Any thoughts on this?

I've read everything I can find, including the many posts regarding saving
window sizes, but none of them seem to work.
