calendar returns messaging interface has returned unknown error

My outlook mail has worked fine for year.

I am trying to use Calendar for first time. However, I can't enter any
events ... whenever I try, I always get dialogue box that reads, "The
messaging Interface has returned an unknown error. If problem persists,
restart Outlook." Restarting outlook does not resolve the problem.

I operate three profiles on my outlook with different e.mail addresses.
This problem occurs on all three.

I've tried mail, contacts, notes, tasks, and journal wihtin Outlook and they
all operate just fine.

What do I do next?

sounds like a corrupt profile,
please create a new profile.
