Calendar Repeats Single Dates

Bill Badzmierowski

I am running Outlook 2003 under Windows 2000 Pro. My
problem: I synchronize my handheld with Outlook, and also
synchronize the handheld with a third party application
(WESYNCH). I need to do this since WESYNCH is my
company's shared calendar. There are three separate
calendars that get synchronized from we synch, and under
Outlook 2000, Outlook 2000 was capable of only
synchronizing my private calendar, and it was capable of
ignoring the other calendars that are public to the rest
of the company. This is the way I want it, as then I only
have to enter the calendar items in one place (WESYNCH)
and then synchronize with Outlook. HOWEVER - in Outlook
2003, it seems to be attempting to synchronize all three
of the calendars in We SYNC, and it is therefore
interpreting some dates (e.g. a birthday that appears in
all three calendars) as reoccurring across several days,
even though the event should only be appearing on one
day.

I am not sure if the reasons above are the reasons why
Outlook 2003 is repeating some single date events over
several days, but it is the only thing I can guess is
causing this. Can someone help me with either a fix or a
workaround? Thank you very much!

Synchronization with a PDA is not an Outlook feature. It's a function of
your PDA synchronization application. That's where you need to look for the
settings that determine which folder(s) is (are) synchronized.
