Calendar Invitations: No Automatic Entries

My boss has back-to-back meetings all day and his calendar is FULL. We need
2 enhancements:

1. When he receives an invitation, please do not automatically place a
"tentative" entry on the calendar itself. It clutters up the calendar and
scrunches up the meetings he needs to see. Instead, provide an option to
receive an email notice only. Or, allow us to write a calendar rule as to
how we want these invitations to appear or where to go. Let the tentative
invitation appear on the right of the screen, maybe flashing or red that a
response is needed in the email notification. We want to be able to turn off
the feature that automatically enters it on the calendar.

2. When he is an "optional" attendee, let us create an FYI section on the
right or somewhere so that it will automatically go to that "folder" instead
of automatically entering it on the calendar. He needs to know about
meetings that his staff is doing, but he does not need to have it entered on
his calendar.

Did you ever find a way to turn off the feature that automatically enters an
entry on the calendar? If so, can you share the knowledge? I am having the
same problem.
