Can anyone recommend a good freeware calculator. TIA

Is there anything wrong with the calculator built in to the OS?
Windows has one, I am sure linux does so I would expect Mac to aswell.

Fred was thinking very hard :
Can anyone recommend a good freeware calculator. TIA

If you're looking for scientific calculators, try these two:

ESBCalc
http://www.esbconsult.com/esbcalc/esbcalc.html

and

Calcute
http://orefa.com/calcute/

If you're looking for financial calculators, try:

http://www.calculator.org/download.html

If you need serious corporate finance or stocks/bonds calculations, you
can pick up Open Office at http://www.openoffice.org/ and use the
spreadsheet module. You can find lots of forumlas on the net and most
Excel formulas will work in OO's spreadsheet.
