Calculating

I have a large spreadsheet with a lot of complicated
formulas.

Whenever I update the data (It's external) the sheet
insists on re-calculating the whole sheet.

Is there any way for it to only calculate any new
information?
 
Tools --> Options --> Calculation
try clearing the Save external link values
