Cable not connected

Hi,

Am trying to netwok a laptop to my PC. I connected a crossed cable but both
computers show the LAN icon with the information: No cable connected.
Any suggestion?

Are you sure that you have a properly wired crossover cable? I
suspect that it's a regular cable, which would get the result that you
report.

To tell, hold the two ends of the cable together, in the same
direction. In a regular cable, the wire colors are the same on both
ends. In a crossover cable, they're different.

You're right, the wires of the cable have not the proper disposition. I've
found a sceme in internet and I'm going to change it. Once done I'll post
the result.
