Windows XP with all updates and fixes from MS
I have about 130 folders such as above in my Windows folder.
Are they necessary folders that must be kept?

They're handy if you want to uninstall one of the updates because something
goes wrong. If you don't then, well, you *can* delete them if you really
want.
